My name is Sarah, and I was born and raised in Uganda. Life took a beautiful turn when I met Mikko, the love of my life, who invited me to join him in Finland. I arrived during winter, a season so magical and breathtaking, yet my skin struggled to adapt.

Coming from the warm, humid air of Uganda, to the cold dry winds of Finland was a huge shock to my skin. It became dry, itchy, ashy, and dehydrated. I went from shop to shop, brand to brand, searching for skincare that would work for me, but nothing seemed to help,
It always got worse in winter.

Through it all, Mikko stood by me. He encouraged me to stop blaming myself and start understanding my skin. Together, we began researching products and ingredients, only to discover that most skincare brands are not formulated with melaninrich skin in mind. And the few that claim to cater to darker tones often generalize, ignoring the unique needs of deeper skin tones, especially type 6 complexions like mine.
I went through some of my hardest times like hating my skin, hating mirrors, even hating going outside. But Mikko, ever supportive, looked at me one day and said:

“What if we created something, something that would help you, and help others like you who are going through the same struggles?”

And that was the birth of AU’ORA OF FINLAND.

When I moved to Finland, I discovered something magical, the purity of its nature. The forests, the berries, the untouched wild ingredients, everything felt authentic, fresh, and powerful. We picked a leaf, Au’ora of Finland is committed to using natural, organic, and eco friendly formulations, harnessing the best of Finland’s nature to create skincare that heals, protects, and enhances melanin rich skin without compromise.
